Hello world it's Kodi here. I have recently been given a new Passion Planner from my parents and it's totally my new favorite thing. So if you've been following along from the start of the adventure, you'll know that I am a big fan of Passion Planners and have used them as my main tool to set and achieve goals ( Passion Planner Review ). Well--this year I have the larger version in my favorite color and I am very quickly becoming obsessed with it. Hello world it's Kodi here with yet another strategy I have found helpful for keeping the anxiety of being an adult in the real world at bay. Do Nothing. Spend a few moments of each day genuinely just doing nothing. Now I happen to be a big fan of meditation and I'm sure will be sharing bits about that later on, but in case that's not your thing--then maybe this is. In a way they are one and the same, there is just something about "do nothing" that seems less like one more thing to add to your to-do list. So if you hit a point where your mind begins spiraling through all of the things that you should be stressing about. Breathe, write the worries down if you need to so you don't stress about forgetting them--and then just do nothing. Let your body just do its thing, even for a few moments. Our bodies do so much and work so hard, even when we are at rest. Sometimes it's nice just to acknowledge that and give your body a little room to breathe. Following...

I've been really energized recently by writing and I always think it's important to follow those impulses because you never know where the universe is leading you. I've also spent a lot of my social media time reading other blogs and learning about mindfulness, travel, spirituality, beauty, health along with other topics. I've noticed through reading them what I personally enjoy in a blog post. And even though this is an online journal of sorts to document my goal achieving throughout this decade of my life--I still think I should aspire to be something great. In life I believe that it is beyond important to put 110% into everything that you do. Not only will it help improve the quality of the work you are doing, but it then becomes part of who you are. Hello world--it's Kodi here, yet again. Continually documenting this decade-I still believe that it is the biggest decade in anyone's life. There is so much growth, change, and so many realizations. It's insane for me reading back through old posts and seeing how different I was just three years ago. It makes me excited to see how many new adventures the coming years will bring. I've recently decided to invest in my career and buy myself a badass camera. Nowadays more often than not auditions come in through the form of self-taping. Having a high quality camera will not only allow me to up my self tape game but also give me the freedom to film short scenes for showreels and short films. Which is super cool and I'm beyond excited to start doing some acting with it. Hello World It's Kodi here. I just wanted to share on here---admittedly over a year late now--the best day of my life. As you may or may not know--I believe the universe is on our side, and is always sending us signs if we only know where to look. So during September of 2016 when a company called Project Mermaids  started popping up on my various social media accounts, I had a look. The second their website opened, the 7 year old girl who wanted to be a mermaid when she grew up (and to be fair the 22 year old with the same dream) nearly fainted. It actually looked like the most magical experience in the entire world. But then I saw the price, and the adult part of me went there is no way to justify spending that much on being a mermaid for a day. So I tried to forget about it, but as the universe does I started seeing their advertisements absolutely everywhere. Hello world it's Kodi here and I wanted to share with the wide world of the internet my newest revelation/life lesson. I'm someone who can very very easily get stuck in a negative spiral of panicked thoughts about the future. The second I see something on my calendar that I'm nervous about, or think about what may happen once I graduate, a little voice comes alive in the back of my head and starts seeping out all of the horrible ways that things may go wrong. I read something recently on the inspirations page of dailyom.com  about strategies of overcoming fears. The mind is such a powerful thing and fear is truly something that we can control if we work at it. Hello world, it's Kodi here. I've had some thoughts recently that have inspired a slightly new mindset in life. I now try to live my life by connecting to the moon cycles and letting my life go through phases as so many things on this earth do. I thought I would just share some of these musings here--for future me looking back or anyone else who may want to listen. Life on this earth is cyclical by nature. The seasons come and go, they bring new life and death. Women experience their monthly cycle. The day brings sun and the night brings starlight. The tide cycles in and out with the phases of the moon. The moon cycles through filling the night sky with light and leaving us in darkness. It is how our world works. So why is it when we humans experience a period of darkness we think it will never pass.
